2015!

haven't posted in a while. spent xmas + new yrs in italy which was a really nice vacay. i have a lot to say, a lot of thoughts, a lot of things i want to talk about but need to find the right way to formulate these words. i also have 2 rolls of film to develop and will post some when i have enough $ for developing. currently taking my mocks, got my last two tomorrow (both maths ugh). in the meantime i still regularly post on instagram @zszophia and somehow wormed my way into posting all orange themed pictures due to a sudden wave of orange inspiration every where (see side bar of blog). idk how long this is gonna last. i have pics i wanna post but don't want to break the theme arghhh!! anyway happy new year, hope jan will be a gd month for y'all :-) XXXX

i saw palo alto last night and it was incredible. been listening to the soundtrack nonstop. at first i thought the shitload of smoking was a bit excessive but then i realised its actually an accurate depiction of teens tbh. it was a really beautiful movie though. i want to see it again and again and again. compiling a long reading list right now, will post it when its finished. also have a draft post about intersectional feminism but can't seem to find the right words. was really inspired after going to a panel about WOC in feminism and been learning more about 3rd wave/intersectional feminism since.  also i can ride a bike now !!!!

Saw CocoRosie again on 30th Sept at Oval Space (some warehouse type place near shoreditch?!)! This time was better because I knew their songs properly and it was really beautiful and inspiring. Gravediggress was my favourite (AND OF COURSE WEREWOLF). I've realized that now 2 out of the 5 or 6 posts I've written on here has had CocoRosie in it oh well. Their lyrics are so interesting (Bianca's a poet soo...) and have so much depth and their melodies are enchanting. Wrote my english coursework about their concert - classic me ("Sophia you need to stop saying classic" says everyone I know). V art themed post probably because I've been doing a lot of painting and art coursework. For half term I plan to do even more. I should get my disposables from summer developed and some 120 film from last easter developed too oops. Will do that and get em all posted in a week or two. Will post some photos I've taken for art/other people/own pleasure. I tend to always blog when I have a test the next day. Tomorrow's biology test CANT WAIT.

P.S. Am I the only one who was disappointed with Bangerz (Miley's new album) after all the hype with her singles which I admit were pretty good and catchy?

P.P.S. want to do some photography of strangers on the street (sort of like Humans of New York kind of stuff) but just for fun. Seems scary. We'll see.
